You are key to our after-sales service; responsible for assisting customers with repairs equipment, including electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools, supporting the sale of accessories and parts and answering general product questions.

What will you work on?

  • Embrace and promote brand value while delivering customer care principles.
  • Visually inspect and test products/equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and identify malfunctioning or inoperative equipment.
  • Ability to create, edit, and complete repair and sales invoices on the computer.
  • Dismantle and repair products/equipment.
  • Assemble and test tools to ensure proper performance levels.
  • Notify customers of repair estimate and completed repairs.
  • Prepare tools and part orders for shipment as required.
  • Ensure appropriate service levels are maintained in the Factory Service Centre.
  • Maintaining inventory of parts and accessories.
  • Read and understand repair procedures contained within Makita’s Service Information. Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Assists in maintaining the appearance of the facility in a professional, clean, and organized manner, consistent with Makita’s brand image, daily.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

To be successful you will have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of related experience repairing tools/equipment.
  • Electro/mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge and experience using and repairing electric (both AC & DC), pneumatic and gasoline-powered tools.
  • Experience with desktop software applications

What you bring to the team:

  • Comprehension: Ability to read, interpret and explain documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to be able to prioritize your work.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently with minimum supervision.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, shipping and receiving an asset.
  • Ability to work in a noisy environment, with the ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, also includes a lot of reaching, lifting, pushing/pulling, bending, and twisting.

Salary

  • $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
