Under the direction of the Seinor Directior of Operations, you will work within the Purchasing division and oversee the demand planning activities.  You will be responsible for leading the demand review process by collaborating cross-functionally within the organization.

What will you work on?

  • Build and execute a forecast model based on demand patterns and business trends
  • Provide support in developing seasonal promotional forecasts
  • Using forecast analytics establish proper stockkeeping levels for top selling skus
  • Work cross functionally with marketing and sales teams to support revenue plan
  • Provide demand plan to ensure customer needs are met
  • Maintain proper inventory levels based on future customer demands
  • Provide analysis to support warehouse inventory movements and support picking and replenishment efficiencies
  • Provide analysis to support decision making for inventory locations across multiple DC’s
  • Identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans
  • Work with Purchasing Team to adjust forecast plan as required depending on production or shipping delays
  • Assist in risk and opportunities analytics and recommend strategies
  • Facilitate monthly planning meetings
  • Evaluate historical sales trends, examine demand drivers, develop statistical forecast models, and assess forecast results
  • Provide input in developing revenue strategies for discontinued stock as well as new product launches
  • Implement and identify opportunities for improvement by using analysis and logical thinking
  • Demonstrate proficiency in statistics and forecasting with an understanding of the financial impact on finance and operations
  • Gather raw data from multiple data systems and work with IT Team to ensure data is accurate and up to date
  • Work with Major Customers Supply Chain Team for accurate demand forecasting
  • Work with IT department and create BI reports to track demand KPIs and other if necessary

To be successful you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or three (3) year post-secondary diploma
  • Previous work experience or certification an asset
  • Prior experience with AS400, IBM Web Query and Power BI or similar systems and reporting tools is required.
  • Superior MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and Access
  • Working knowledge of SQL server is an asset

Salary:

  • $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
