Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the E-commerce and MAP Specialist will support the department in various related roles to meet marketing initiatives and objectives.
You will be responsible for coordinating and administering various e-commerce account activities (ex. Amazon, Home Depot.) Additionally, you will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and enforcing Makita Canada’s minimum advertised price (MAP) policy for Makita products advertised online and across our dealer-retail-seller network.

What will you work on?
E-commerce Responsibilities:
Create and maintain digital content such as product images, brand logos, and product descriptions while maintaining brand integrity on various e-commerce platforms.
Content enrichment including developing, monitoring, writing, and updating product content contained on various e-commerce platforms, including but not limited to customer specific portals
Work with product management, technical services, creative/graphics, sales, and other relevant departments to provide updated content for assigned accounts to be shared across eCommerce platforms
Gain a comprehensive understanding of account-specific SEO best practices, pricing policies, media assets, inventory and/or pre-orders
Other related duties may be required
MAP Specialist Responsibilities:
Prepare quarterly MAP lists with up-to-date minimum advertised prices for Makita products and communicate to the sales team and our dealer network
Monitor, analyze and report on prices for Makita products advertised by our dealers for compliance with our MAP policy using existing tools and pricing intelligence software, PriceSpider | Prowl
Compose and send MAP enforcement communication to dealers violating MAP and facilitate the process for applying required sanctions
Prepare regular and on-demand MAP violation tracking reports for management and our team
Administer Makita Canada’s minimum advertised price (MAP) policy for our products
Recommend new methods and policy to strengthen our MAP policy, guidelines, and compliance
Other related duties may be required
To be successful you will have:
A three (3) year post-secondary diploma or degree
A minimum of one (1) year of related experience
Experience with vendor portals such as Home Depot and Amazon
Experience with MAP administration management
Proficient operating PriceSpider | Powl, pricing intelligence software is essential
Solid Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Word and PowerPoint are required
Knowledge and interest in power tools and construction/building trades

Salary:
$45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
