Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Pricing Compliance / E-comm Specialist protects Makita Canada’s pricing integrity by monitoring and enforcing the company’s Minimum Advertised Price policy across its dealer, retailer, and online seller network.

 

The position also supports Makita’s Amazon and Home Depot ecommerce accounts and assists with Amazon advertising campaigns.

Primary Responsibility: MAP Compliance and Enforcement

  • Monitor advertised prices using PriceSpider | Prowl.
  • Investigate and document potential MAP violations.
  • Communicate violations to dealers and follow established escalation procedures.
  • Coordinate sanctions for continued non-compliance.
  • Maintain accurate violation records and prepare compliance reports.
  • Prepare and distribute quarterly MAP price lists.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen MAP monitoring and enforcement.

Secondary Responsibility: Ecommerce Account Support

  • Support Makita’s Amazon and Home Depot accounts.
  • Create, update, and enrich product listings, descriptions, specifications, images, and brand assets.
  • Maintain accurate, consistent, and brand-compliant product content.
  • Coordinate content updates with Product Management, Technical Services, Creative, Sales, and other internal teams.
  • Apply account-specific SEO, pricing, inventory, and content best practices.

Additional Responsibility: Amazon Advertising

  • Set up, administer, and monitor Amazon advertising campaigns.
  • Manage campaign budgets, bids, keywords, and product targeting.
  • Track performance using metrics such as sales, conversion rate, ACOS, and ROAS.
  • Prepare campaign reports and recommend improvements.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • Experience administering MAP, pricing-compliance, dealer-compliance, or another comparable policy.
  • Experience investigating, documenting, communicating, and escalating violations.
  • Experience with PriceSpider | Prowl or comparable pricing-intelligence software.
  • Strong Excel, reporting, analytical, and business-writing skills.
  • Confidence communicating corrective action to dealers, vendors, or business accounts.
  • Familiarity with Amazon and Home Depot vendor portals.
  • Experience managing ecommerce product content.
  • Experience administering Amazon advertising campaigns.
  • The judgment and professionalism to enforce pricing policies consistently while maintaining productive dealer relationships.

Salary range

  • $45,000 – $48,000
